Helmut Newton - Immorale

Immorale is a striking photobook by legendary fashion and fine art photographer Helmut Newton, featuring Japanese actress Eri Ishida. Published in 1993 by Kodansha, this collection showcases Newton’s signature style—bold, provocative, and sensual—against a sophisticated visual backdrop. The book, also known by its Japanese title Tsumi (罪, meaning "Sin"), consists of around 90 photographs that capture Ishida in a variety of intimate and artistic compositions.  Immorale gained commercial success in Japan, selling over 270,000 copies. The project reflects Newton’s fascination with powerful female subjects and the interplay of eroticism and glamour.
