Emerging from the legendary CBGB scene in the mid-1970s, the Ramones helped ignite the global punk movement with their fast, stripped-back sound and unmistakable image.

While studying photography, Dayton began documenting the band’s live performances at CBGB using a borrowed Canon F-1 camera, producing a collection of iconic black-and-white images that would come to define the band’s visual identity.
