The book captures the raw heart of Southern California’s surf, skate, and punk culture from the late 1960s to the early 1980s. Glenn “Spot” Lockett was more than a witness to the scene; he lived it. After arriving in Hermosa Beach, he became a key figure in its creative underground, co-founding Media Art Recording Studio and producing landmark records for SST artists including Black Flag, Minutemen, Meat Puppets, Hüsker Dü, and others.
